Prologue

Soooooo....here I was at home when my Mum calls from the hairdressers and says"you'll love this" and goes on to tell me how Narelle Mackenzie, owner of Zadoo for Hair (formerly Style Avenue) is going on this cycling challenge through Cambodia that starts at Angkor Wat. Wow! Says I as it's been on my list of things to see before I die for about 20 years now; closely followed by Macchu Picchu. What is this predilection for ancient spiritual sites for one who hasn't spent much time in church or indeed prayer in her adult life you ask? Just a general quest for self actualisation (as Maslow would put it) that I am now fortunate enough to be able to follow and realise I suppose.
